The iseek Eagle Farm 1 facility is recognized as one of Australia’s most architecturally significant and energy-efficient data centers, earning the 2012 Property Council of Australia’s award for "Best Sustainable Development." It is engineered to support high-density environments, delivering an average of 6kW per rack across a 400-rack footprint. This facility is specifically designed for clients requiring colocation for dense Blade servers, SAN, and virtualized equipment, ensuring that performance does not come at the cost of environmental responsibility.
Tier IV Resilience and Redundancy
Expanding on the success of the original site, the Eagle Farm 2 facility was built to Tier IV standards, offering an even higher level of resilience and redundancy. This adjacent facility adds approximately 900 sq.m. of whitespace and a capacity for 600 additional racks. With a fully built-out power capacity of 1.8 MW, the expansion provides diverse options for clients, ranging from individual shared rackspace and partial cabinets to dedicated cages and 10+ large private staging rooms for exclusive customer use.
Advanced Critical Systems and Security
Reliability is baked into the physical and electrical architecture of the campus. All critical systems follow an N+1 redundancy model, supported by three on-site 2.5MW transformers and diverse dual 32 amp or 3-phase power delivered directly to each rack. Security is equally rigorous, utilizing a multi-layered defense strategy that includes state-of-the-art electronic surveillance, vehicle traps, man traps, and dual biometric and swipe card access systems to ensure total physical integrity.
The Critical Environments Program (CEP)
Operational excellence at the Eagle Farm campus is driven by DigiCo’s Critical Environments Program (CEP). This program focuses on minimizing risk and maximizing uptime through 24/7 on-site expert engineering teams and globally consistent operational processes. By employing proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance, the facility safeguards mission-critical infrastructure while offering bespoke customer procedures, such as tailored reporting and flexible operating modes to meet specific enterprise needs.
