5G Networks operates two strategically positioned data centres in Sydney, one in the CBD and another in the northern growth corridor. Their locations enable strong carrier interconnectivity, low latency, and smooth cloud performance. The company delivers colocation, ultra fast business internet, interactive cloud, and private cloud solutions, supporting organisations in Sydney as well as Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.
Space and Scalability
The Sydney facility covers 995 sqm, including 248 sqm of dedicated office space, and supports up to 150 racks. Its layout uses cold aisle containment and allows whitespace expansion as demand grows. Businesses can choose full or partial cabinets, shared racks, private cages, or custom footprints to suit different deployment sizes.
Resilient Power and Cooling
The site provides 1.5 MW of power using four Schneider UPS systems in an N+2 configuration. Each rack receives independent 32A A plus B feeds from separate sources, supported by backup generators. Cooling is delivered through Stulz CRAC units in an N+2 setup, supporting densities of up to 20 kW per sqm.
Protection and Monitoring
Security includes 24/7/365 CCTV surveillance, dual biometric and card access, monitored perimeters, and regular patrols. Fire protection uses VESDA detection, heat sensors, and IG55 gas suppression. Onsite security staff are present around the clock.
Carrier Access and Cloud Connectivity
The facility connects to multiple carriers alongside the 5GN network to provide redundant connectivity. Clients can link between national 5GN sites and access major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Google Cloud. A Meet Me Room and peering with three networks further enhance interconnection.
Compliance and Operational Support
The data centre is ISO/IEC 27001 certified for information security management. It offers sole tenant options, operates within a retrofitted building, and is monitored by a 24/7 Building Management System. Remote hands services are available for operational support.
