The Brussels Datacenter, operational since 2009 with a retrofitted construction, offers a Tier 3 certified and designed facility. It provides 750 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace and a total of 1 MW fully built-out power capacity, supporting a maximum power density of 1 kW/sq.m. The facility's staff, described as a team of carefully selected people with complementary capabilities and a drive for perfection, ensures its seamless operation.
Service Offerings
The datacenter provides a variety of tenancy types to meet diverse customer needs, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites Footprints. For operational support, Remote Hands service is available. The tenancy model is Sole-tenant, and the whitespace is expandable.
Power & Cooling Redundancy
The facility boasts a fully redundant infrastructure, with all major subsystems configured for N+1 active/active operation. Capacity is pre-emptively increased to handle demand surges. Regular checks and tests guarantee both active and standby equipment remain operational. Cooling is provided by a central redundant HVAC system consistently kept at no more than 50% load, which can be maintained and scaled in-service. This system, combined with cold corridor solutions, ensures adequate heat removal for even the most demanding, high-density equipment.
Security Measures
Security is managed through a central INCERT-certified alarm system covering the facility, all cages, and private rooms, utilizing a combination of access badges and PIN codes. CCTV cameras are installed at all entry points and cover all sensitive areas within the facility. Additionally, a security contractor is engaged to patrol the facility regularly.
Network Connectivity
The Brussels Datacenter operates on the principle of carrier neutrality, allowing any operator to connect and establish a “Point of Presence”. It features a Roof Accessed Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and already has fiber ducts from more than 15 operators available. The facility connects to 2 Internet Exchange Points, 18 peering networks, and is served by 3 network providers. There are also 6 tenants offering colocation services.
