The SaskTel Saskatoon Central Data Centre is a premier, state of the art facility offering 4900 square feet of fully built out whitespace. Designed to accommodate various business scales, it provides versatile colocation options ranging from shared rackspace and partial cabinets such as one half and one third rack to full 45U cabinets and private cages. This flexibility allows organizations to scale their physical footprint according to their specific infrastructure requirements within a professionally managed environment.

Connectivity is a core pillar of the facility’s design, featuring a dedicated Meet Me Room that serves as a central hub for networking. To ensure high availability and prevent single points of failure, the centre utilizes two redundant fiber entrances and provides access to alternate carrier options. This robust network architecture is designed to deliver uninterrupted service and seamless integration with global carrier networks.

The infrastructure is engineered for maximum uptime, boasting an N plus 1 redundancy configuration for UPS systems, cooling units, and standby power generators. These safeguards allow the facility to maintain a 99.99 percent uptime SLA, backed by a historical portfolio performance of 100 percent uptime. By strictly adhering to ASHRAE Environmental Guidelines, the centre ensures optimal temperature and humidity levels for sensitive hardware.

Security is maintained through a rigorous, multi layered approach that combines physical barriers with advanced technology. Entry is controlled via a security kiosk, mantrap portals, and a combination of key card and biometric access control. The perimeter and interior are monitored continuously by onsite security staff and motion detection IP CCTV surveillance, while a two stage dry pipe fire suppression system protects the hardware from environmental threats.

To assist with day to day operations and complex transitions, the facility offers continuous remote hands and technical support through the SaskTel Business First Support Team. Beyond basic maintenance, clients have access to professional services for migration planning and equipment installation. This constant availability of onsite technical staff ensures that any hardware issues can be addressed immediately without the client needing to be physically present.

The data centre is equipped with several amenities designed to streamline the workflow for visiting technicians and IT teams. This includes a loading dock lift measuring four feet by seven feet, customer delivery lockers, and a dedicated staging room for unboxing and configuring equipment.
