The HR-ZOO RI data center, situated on the University of Rijeka's Trsat campus, is a cutting-edge facility dedicated to fostering advanced research and education. It encompasses a gross area of 213 m², designed to support high-performance Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment and digital services. The center is engineered for high availability, strictly adhering to rigorous technical and security standards.
Power and Capacity
The facility is provisioned with a significant power infrastructure, featuring a designed capacity of 125 kW (or 0.125 MW). To ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation, the center is backed up by a robust 220 kVA diesel generator and a 100 kVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS). This setup guarantees that the ICT equipment and critical digital services remain operational even during power disturbances.
Infrastructure and Security
A comprehensive suite of essential systems is in place to maintain optimal operational conditions and security. These systems include sophisticated ventilation and cooling to regulate the equipment environment, along with security and environment monitoring tools. For safety, the center is equipped with a fire alarm and suppression system. Security is further enforced through an access control system and comprehensive CCTV surveillance.

The HR-ZOO RI data center offers various co-location and hosting options, including dedicated spaces for Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, and Shared Rackspace. The operational backbone is managed through a sophisticated Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solution, which oversees all critical systems. Additionally, the facility provides Remote Hands service to assist users with on-site maintenance and support tasks.
