Bulk Data Centers' DK01 Data Center, located in Esbjerg, on the Western Coast of Denmark, is a highly efficient, secure, and resilient facility operational since 2019. Situated in Esbjerg's energy hub, it offers abundant access to offshore wind power and competitive energy pricing, contributing to a low total cost of ownership (TCO). The Data Center is the connectivity gateway to the Nordics from the US and Europe due to Bulk’s Havsil and Havhingsten cable systems. It operates as a multi-tenant, purpose-built data center.
Service Offerings
DK01 offers flexible solutions including colocation, dedicated secure white space, and build-to-suit options. The facility is fully built out with 2,300 sq.m. of white space, which is also expandable to support future growth. Clients can choose from various footprints such as Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites. The maximum power per rack is 10 kW. Remote Hands service is also available.
Power & Cooling Redundancy
The facility has a fully built-out power capacity of 5 MW. It is designed with a Tier 3 standard and certification, ensuring high availability. The UPS Redundancy is 2N, indicating dual, independent power paths. The data center maintains a highly efficient Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.3.
Compliance Standards
Bulk DK01 adheres to several international standards, being ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 22301 Certified, covering information security, quality management, environmental management, and business continuity, respectively. It is also EN50600 Certified, which covers data center infrastructure and facilities.
Security Measures
The facility ensures robust security with a fenced perimeter, CCTV surveillance, and card access control. Onsite Security Staff is present 24/7 to maintain a highly secure environment.
Tenant Amenities
The Data Center provides several amenities for tenants, including a Meet-Me-Room (MMR), a Conference Room, a Breakroom, and available Office Space. A Loading Bay is present, and WiFi and Parking are available. Onsite Technical Staff is present during business hours.
Network Connectivity
DK01 is highly connected, featuring six subsea cables and numerous terrestrial routes landing in the area, which provide direct access to major fiber networks and cloud providers. The facility hosts 1 Internet Exchange Point and 2 Peering networks with 2 Network providers. Notably, it is the home of the DE-CIX Denmark interconnection platform, offering excellent cloud and peering options.
