The GleSYS Oulu data center combines advanced technology with sustainable design, strategically located in Finland as a key gateway for enterprises aiming to strengthen their digital presence in the Nordics. Operating with two highly redundant zones, the facility ensures uninterrupted service and optimal performance. Originally established as Oulun DataCenter (ODC), it was acquired by GleSYS in 2020 and now provides a full suite of IT services, including server hosting, and dedicated server solutions.

The data center has a total building size of 550 sq.m., including a 450 sq.m. dedicated server hall offering whitespace for flexible colocation arrangements. Clients can choose from Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, or Cages/Footprints. In addition, Remote Hands services are available from experienced technicians to support customer operations.

Designed for high-density deployments, the facility supports up to 15 kW per rack, with a fully built-out power capacity of 0.7 MW. It maintains an N+2 UPS redundancy level to secure continuous power supply. Committed to sustainability, the center emphasizes renewable energy sources and leverages natural cooling methods to maximize energy efficiency.

The Oulu data center enforces strict physical security protocols with multi-layered protection, including CCTV surveillance, alarms, and controlled access systems. Colocation racks are equipped with electric locks accessible only to assigned cardholders, while clients benefit from 24/7/365 secure physical access. Fire protection is integrated into compliance with industry standards, ensuring safety and resilience.

As part of the MPLS-based GleSYS Backbone, the Oulu facility provides low-latency connectivity to the Finnish market. It offers high-speed connections with port capacities of up to 100 Gbit/s and maintains active peering with major networks such as Cinia Oy, Elisa Carrier Business, and Portlane, ensuring diverse and reliable interconnection options.

GleSYS Oulu operates in compliance with globally recognized standards, backed by independent third-party audits. It's subsidiary Oulun DataCenter Oy (ODC) hold certifications including ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security Management System - ISMS). These certifications highlight the facility’s dedication to quality, sustainability, and information security.

The data center’s infrastructure is built on an all-SSD cloud platform, enabling secure, scalable, and high-performance hosting solutions. It supports advanced computing requirements with services such as VMware Cloud Director as a Service and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), making it a future-ready partner for businesses requiring high availability and robust digital infrastructure.
