Previously known as Interxion PAR4, this facility became part of the Digital Realty brand in 2022 following the acquisition of Interxion. It caters to communities of interest across the cloud, digital media, and finance sectors, enabling alliances for revenue growth and cost reduction. Conveniently located 10 km from Paris city centre, 16 km from Charles de Gaulle Airport, and just 1 km from the Paris ring road, PAR4 is strategically positioned for accessibility.
Connectivity
The data centre offers a growing ecosystem of carriers, ISPs, Internet Exchanges, and connectivity partners. Clients benefit from reduced network access costs, improved performance, and direct access to the France IX Internet Exchange. Connectivity features include dual-entry fibre, SLA-based cross connects, and a unique dark fibre network linking all seven Digital Realty (Interxion) data centres in Paris for dual-site redundancy and connectivity.
Power Infrastructure
PAR4 provides managed power with in-built resilience to accommodate additional equipment without downtime. The facility features a mix of redundancy setups and power densities, offering a full range of AC and DC output currents. N+1 backup generators support 72 hours at full capacity, while power availability is backed by SLAs of up to 99.999%.
Cooling and Environment
All equipment operates in a climate-controlled environment with fire-retardant walls, very early smoke detection apparatus, direct lines to fire stations, and an automatic inert gas fire suppression system. Redundancy is ensured with N+1 cooling infrastructure. The facility also follows ASHRAE-recommended SLAs for temperature and humidity. Sustainable energy practices such as free cooling are employed, and efficiency is continuously monitored and improved.
Security
Security is reinforced through five layers of protection, including mantrap entry, CCTV surveillance, biometric access control, and card access control. Trained security staff are present on-site 24/7, supported by ISO and BS certifications for information security management systems.
