The EVF-Datacenter is a modern, carrier-neutral colocation facility situated between Stuttgart and Ulm, Germany. Completed in the summer of 2019, this purpose-built data center is operated by a publicly owned company that also manages the local power grid, ensuring a reliable and energy-efficient infrastructure.
Certifications and Design
The data center is designed in accordance with DIN EN 50600 Category III standards and holds certification under DIN ISO/IEC 27001. It guarantees a minimum availability of 99.97%, thanks to its redundant infrastructure and emergency power systems, making it a Tier 3 facility.
Power and Capacity
With a fully built-out power capacity of 1 MW and 405 square meters of white space, the EVF-Datacenter offers a maximum power per rack of 5 kW. It features 2N UPS redundancy and 2N standby power systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
Security Features
Security is enforced through 24/7 access using multi-level two-factor authentication, including biometric and card-based controls. The facility is monitored by CCTV surveillance and protected by an automatic nitrogen-based fire suppression system.
Colocation Services and Connectivity
The data center supports various colocation options such as full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, remote hands services, and dedicated cages. It also includes a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and provides access to one peering network for enhanced connectivity.
