A Tier 4 certification designates an enterprise-class data centre, which is the highest level available. This standard requires that complete redundancy is applied across the entire infrastructure, including both computing and non-computing systems, to ensure total fault tolerance.

Tier 4 systems are characterized by their 2N+1 functionality. This robust model means the facility has two times the amount of required backup capacity available, guaranteeing seamless operations during maintenance or any planned or unplanned disruptions.
