The Digital Realty HER1 data center, located in southeastern Europe, serves as a key component of the company’s Mediterranean strategy. It is designed to be the region’s first large-scale digital hub, seamlessly connecting Europe with Asia, the Middle East, and West Africa through strategic subsea cable investments.

The HER1 data center features a total building size of 5,780 square feet (537 square meters) of fully built-out whitespace, providing ample room for enterprise digital infrastructure growth and future scalability.

The facility is engineered for maximum uptime and operational resilience. It provides 2N Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) redundancy to ensure continuous power delivery and utilizes N+1 cooling systems to minimize the risk of downtime. Additionally, the data center is committed to environmental sustainability by operating entirely on 100% renewable energy.

HER1 offers flexible colocation solutions tailored to meet diverse business requirements. Available options include Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, and dedicated Cages. Customers can also benefit from Remote Hands services for technical and operational support.

Security is a top priority at HER1, ensured through a multilayered protection framework. The facility is guarded by 24×7 onsite security personnel and features controlled entry using biometric and photo badge access systems. Comprehensive CCTV surveillance is implemented throughout the site, with a 90-day video retention policy to maintain high security standards.

Strategically located in the Mediterranean region, HER1 acts as a critical gateway for global connectivity, further strengthened by ongoing subsea cable investments. The facility also provides convenient onsite amenities such as a dedicated Loading Bay and free Parking to enhance customer logistics and accessibility.
