The IIJ GIO Matsue Data Center Park, operational since April 2011, is an advanced facility that uses containerized data center modules instead of traditional building-based infrastructure. It serves as a primary hub for IIJ’s cloud services and combines reliability with innovative design, making it comparable to conventional data centers.
Power and Infrastructure
The data center features a redundant power system, emergency generators, and N+1 UPS redundancy to ensure continuous operations. With a fully built-out power capacity of 5 MW and 16,000 square meters of whitespace, it supports a variety of hosting options including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, cages, and suites. Remote hands services are also available to assist clients on-site.
Cooling and Redundancy
An innovative outside-air cooling system enhances energy efficiency and reduces operational costs. The facility’s infrastructure is designed with redundancy in mind, ensuring uninterrupted service even in the event of equipment failure.
