NorthC stands as the Netherlands' largest regional data center provider, operating ten strategically located facilities that span nearly 80,000 m² with a collective 65 megawatt capacity. By maintaining a strong local presence, the company serves a diverse clientele ranging from government institutions and large corporations to small businesses and IT providers. This regional focus allows NorthC to offer personalized, high end services and custom hybrid cloud solutions that are specifically tailored to the digital transformation needs of the local market.

The Amsterdam location is situated within the Westpoort business park, occupying a total building size of 5,000 m². Operational since 2007, this sole tenant facility features 2,500 m² of fully built out whitespace and 2,700 m² dedicated to colocation solutions. A key geographic advantage of this site is that all data floors are situated above sea level; this ensures that even in the event of regional flooding, critical IT infrastructure remains secure and functional.

Designed to support demanding digital workloads, the Amsterdam data center provides a fully built out power capacity of 2.4 MW. The infrastructure is engineered for stability, offering a maximum power density of 3 kW per rack. To ensure continuous operation and eliminate single points of failure, the facility utilizes an N+1 redundancy configuration for its Uninterruptible Power Supply and standby power systems, meeting the rigorous standards of a Tier 3 design.

Maintaining optimal hardware performance requires precise climate management, which NorthC achieves through a sophisticated cooling infrastructure. The facility employs N+1 cooling redundancy, ensuring that temperature and humidity levels remain constant even during equipment maintenance or unexpected failures. Furthermore, the building is equipped with an advanced gas suppression fire system, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from damage while ensuring rapid fire response.

Security at the Amsterdam site is comprehensive and multi layered, featuring a fenced perimeter, 24 7 onsite security staff, and constant CCTV surveillance. Access to the data floors is strictly controlled through biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized entry. In addition to these physical barriers, the facility adheres to international standards for data safety and operational excellence, maintaining both ISO 27001 and DSS PCI certifications.

As a major hub for data exchange, the facility is directly connected to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange AMS IX, one of the world's largest junctions. The network ecosystem includes access to 58 peering networks and two distinct Internet Exchange Points. Customers can leverage high speed connectivity through onsite network providers and a dedicated Meet Me Room for seamless interconnection between different carriers and service providers.

NorthC offers a versatile range of colocation options to suit different business scales, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and private cages or suites. Beyond physical space, the data center provides Remote Hands services, allowing customers to have onsite technical tasks performed by expert staff without needing to be physically present. This is complemented by an enclosed car park with ample space, ensuring easy access for clients who need to visit their hardware.
