The Cellnex datacenter in Goes is housed in the oldest radio and television mast in the Netherlands, built in 1957 to provide nationwide broadcasting. Today, this historic tower hosts Cellnex’s sixth and one of their largest datacenters, combining heritage with modern technology.
Design and Technology
Designed compactly and modularly, the datacenter’s small floors allow constant integration of the latest technologies, ensuring flexibility to meet varied customer needs and future growth.
Specifications
Each data floor covers 50 m², with a total of 550 m² of whitespace. The facility offers a fully built-out power capacity of 1.05 MW (1050 kVA), with rack power ranging from 1 to 20 kVA. Power supply is delivered via dual A and B feeds, supporting voltages of 230V and 400V, with 48V available on request.
Energy and Cooling
The Goes datacenter operates with a PUE value under 1.2, is 100% powered by sustainable Dutch wind energy, and uses direct free air cooling to maximize energy efficiency.
Security and Services
Security measures include CCTV surveillance, biometric access, and card access control. Flexible space options include full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and cages, with remote hands available for on-site assistance.
