Cellnex Netherlands Data Center

The Cellnex datacenters are designed with a compact and modular approach, allowing for continuous integration of the latest technologies. Their small-scale datacenter floors enable customized setups that meet specific expectations and requirements, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.

Located in the Waarderpolder industrial area, the telecom and data tower has been operational since 1972. This 149-meter-high tower was impressively constructed in just 25 days and initially stood alone in a relatively empty industrial zone. Today, it serves as a significant landmark and a hub for data services.

Each data floor covers a surface area of 50 m², with the total usable space also measuring 50 m². The datacenter has a total power capacity of 225 kVA, with each rack capable of supporting between 1 and 20 kVA. Power supply is secured via A and B feeds, offering 230 Volt and 400 Volt as standard, with 48 Volt available upon request.

The datacenter boasts a highly efficient Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) value of less than 1.2. It is fully powered by sustainable Dutch wind energy, emphasizing Cellnex's commitment to environmentally friendly operations. Additionally, the facility employs direct free air cooling, further enhancing its energy efficiency.

Security at the datacenter is robust, featuring CCTV surveillance alongside biometric and card access controls. This ensures a secure environment for all hosted equipment.

The datacenter offers various hosting options including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, and secure cages. It also supports remote hands services to assist with on-site tasks. The facility is retrofitted, reflecting an upgrade of existing structures to meet modern datacenter standards.
