NOS Sistemas (NOS Imopolis II) Data Center

The NOS Imopolis II Data Center, established in 2018, is recognized as one of Portugal's most advanced and efficient data storage facilities. It is a key part of NOS's investment strategy, designed to address the increasing challenges and demands of the modern digital society.

This facility was developed specifically to meet the rapidly growing demands for Cloud services and Data Analytics. The success and high demand for these services have directly led to the center's ongoing expansion, ensuring it can support future technological needs.

The data center boasts an advanced modular design, which is a significant factor in its operational efficiency. This design allows for effective remote management of the facility and contributes to reduced energy costs, making it a highly sustainable and cost-effective operation.

Initially, the facility featured 410 square meters of technical floor space. It was designed with growth in mind, having the potential to expand up to 630 square meters of whitespace within a total building size of 1,000 square meters.

When fully built-out, the Imopolis II data center is equipped to handle 2 MW of power. To ensure reliability and continuous operation, it utilizes an N redundancy model for its UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and an N+1 redundancy for its standby power systems.

The Datacenter supports a wide range of customer needs by offering services such as Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, Suites Footprints, and Remote Hands. As part of its strategic goals, NOS aims to increase the facility's capacity by 50% by the end of the year to further enhance service efficiency.
