Chunghwa Telecom (CHT Kaoshiung Qixian IDC) Data Center

The facility spans a total building size of 957 m² on a single floor and accommodates 63 standard 42U racks (90×60 cm). The raised floor height is 45 cm, designed with a robust floor loading capacity of 500 kg/m² to support high-density infrastructure.

The power system features 2N UPS redundancy and N+1 standby power redundancy through diesel generators. Each rack is provisioned with 2 kW of primary power, and fuel reserves allow the generators to run for up to 31 hours. Rack PDUs support NEMA 5-15R configurations, ensuring stable power distribution across all equipment.

Security is comprehensive, including 24/7 onsite personnel, key card access control, and continuous CCTV surveillance. Footage from entrance and exit points is retained for six months, while other areas are monitored for three months. Fire protection relies on VESDA detection combined with an automatic CO₂ suppression system. Onsite technical staff, also known as Smart Hands, are available during business hours (5×8) to support operational needs.

The data center’s network is anchored by HiNet backbone nodes and FTTB (Fiber to the Building), providing reliable connectivity. The facility has a single entry point, and carrier access is available through project applications, offering flexible network options for tenants.

The facility provides hosting options such as full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace. Smart Hands support is available during business hours (5×8), and the maximum power allocation per rack is 2 kW.

The facility maintains high availability through 2N UPS and N+1 generator redundancy. Security is enforced with 24/7 CCTV, staffing, key card access, and VESDA/CO₂ fire suppression, meeting stringent operational and safety standards.
