The data center features a raised floor design and supports peering with one network and connections to two network providers. Space and Location
The NTT VA3 data center spans 245,000 square feet and offers 112,000 square feet of fully built-out whitespace. Its prime location provides exceptional proximity to the region's dense network infrastructure, offering unparalleled connectivity and access to enterprise-level services.
Power Infrastructure
With a fully built-out critical IT load capacity of 16MW, VA3 features two redundant power feeds from diverse Dominion Energy substations. The facility employs eighteen 1MW UPS modules for every 8MW of capacity, with an N+2 UPS redundancy configuration. Each rack can support up to 22kW of power. Standby power is also supported by generators with on-site fuel storage, ensuring 24 hours of full-load runtime and continuous 24x7x365 fuel delivery.
Cooling System
NTT VA3 employs a waterless cooling system using pumped refrigerant economizers and condensers, designed for energy efficiency and sustainability. Cooling redundancy is maintained at an N+2 level to ensure uninterrupted thermal management under all operating conditions.
Connectivity
As a carrier-neutral facility, VA3 is equipped with three diverse fiber entrances to each building and two diverse Meet-Me-Rooms (MMRs). Tenants benefit from access to numerous regional, national, and international Tier 1 carriers, enabling robust and flexible connectivity solutions.
Security Features
Security is paramount at NTT VA3. The site is secured with an anti-climb perimeter fence, controlled access parking, and no public access. Security measures include multi-factor identification, multi-level security zones, 24/7 onsite security staff, and CCTV surveillance. The fire suppression system is supported by an advanced aspirating smoke detection (ASD) system for rapid threat mitigation.
