Aecero Data Center

Aecero's Critical Business Exchange (CBX) in Anaheim, California, is a Tier 4 data center designed to provide maximum uptime and reliability for mission-critical business operations. It features a robust, carrier-neutral infrastructure with a total capacity of 6 Megawatts and 110,000 sq. ft. of space. The facility is strategically located and built with advanced seismic reinforcement to withstand natural disasters.

The CBX offers a flexible design to accommodate various client needs, from full cabinets to partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and even private suites. Its large footprint of 110,000 sq. ft. allows for significant scalability. The entire facility is constructed with advanced seismic reinforcement to ensure structural integrity and operational continuity during seismic events.

The facility has a True 2N electrical infrastructure with five 12kV transformers and six megawatts of total capacity, ensuring power redundancy. This includes redundant electrical buses with automatic transfer switches and dual Powerware Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs). For emergency power, there are four Caterpillar 2,500kVA generators and a 16,000-gallon underground fuel reservoir, providing a minimum of 48 hours of runtime at full capacity. The cooling system features a raised floor design, Liebert Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units, and N+1 EvapCo Stainless Cooling Towers. A 24,000-gallon underground makeup water reservoir is also available for emergency cooling, and a water leak detection system is installed on all fluid lines.

Security at the CBX is comprehensive and multi-layered. Access is controlled by a ballistic-proof security station, 24-hour on-site security, and CCTV surveillance covering all areas. Entry into colocation suites requires a proximity card combined with a biometric hand scanner for unique hand geometry verification. For fire suppression, the facility utilizes a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) system for early smoke detection, an FM-200 Clean Agent Fire Suppressant, and a Double-Interlock Preaction Sprinkler System to prevent accidental water damage.

The data center is carrier-neutral and a hub for numerous major and smaller carriers, with fiber from more than 14 carriers. It hosts major switch sites for Global Crossing and Level(3), as well as Windstream, Time Warner Telecom, and Cogent. The Meet-Me-Room (MMR) facilitates seamless cross-connections, and peering networks are available.

The Aecero CBX is a Tier 4 facility, signifying the highest level of redundancy and fault tolerance. It is also certified with SAS70 Type 2 and is DSS PCI Compliant, and HIPAA compliant, ensuring it meets rigorous standards for security, operational efficiency, and data protection.

Additional features include a 2,000kW load bank on-site for testing generators and UPSs, a comprehensive grounding system, a conference room, and a loading bay to support customer operations. The facility also provides remote hands services to assist with on-site support tasks.
