Downtown Colo Corporation operates a robust, three-floor data center housed in an iconic building in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. This strategic location positions it as one of the most connected data centers in the region, featuring dozens of on-net carriers and direct access to its own private, diverse, and redundant fiber ring. This fiber infrastructure extends into Downtown Colo’s exclusive, unrestricted cage within the One Wilshire fourth-floor meet-me room (MMR), enabling seamless cross-connections of any type or capacity across floors, buildings, and throughout the greater telecom district of downtown Los Angeles.

Downtown Colo offers both AC and DC power options, supported by an in-line UPS and a battery bank with two-hour extended runtime. A full-load x1.5 capacity backup generator, equipped with underground fuel lines, ensures continuous power availability. Intelligent failover systems provide seamless transitions between power subsystems, maximizing uptime and infrastructure reliability for mission-critical applications.

Physical security is a top priority, with a triple-layer access control system requiring a biometric scan, encrypted proximity card, and a matching pin code. All access points are under continuous CCTV surveillance with no blind spots, and each access event is logged and matched with corresponding camera footage. The facility is staffed with on-site security personnel 24/7, further enhancing physical security.

A dedicated 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) oversees all technical support functions, including environmental and network monitoring, entry access controls, and CCTV operations. On-site technical staff ensure immediate response to any issue, providing robust remote hands and managed services around the clock.

As a subsidiary of Subrigo Corporation, Downtown Colo delivers premium, standard, and VoIP-optimized internet bandwidth. It leverages performance-based eBGP routing, internal iBGP/OSPF routing, VRRP-managed hardware redundancy, and direct peering with more than 40 providers across four edge routers. This architecture ensures low-latency, highly available internet access for enterprise and carrier customers alike.

With 6,000 sq. ft. of fully built-out whitespace and a 2 MW power capacity, the facility accommodates various customer configurations including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, suites, and footprints. The seventh and eleventh floors house the primary data center environments, while the first floor offers administrative offices, conference rooms, private offices, cubicles, and technician workspaces—providing a full-service experience under one roof. Roof access is also available, supporting antenna and satellite deployments.

In operation since 1998, Downtown Colo Corporation supports a multi-tenant model strictly for data center users. Its network ecosystem includes connections to nine major providers, with room for expansion as needed to meet evolving enterprise demands.
