Litewire employs a 24/7/365 holistic approach to safeguarding its physical and network perimeters. Security is maintained through a sophisticated combination of sensors, high definition cameras, and expert trained staff. Access control is strictly enforced using multi factor authentication, along with Intrusion Protection and Detection systems. For an added layer of unparalleled security, the facility is the only data center in the world to house a Municipality Police Department Headquarters onsite, all within a campus protected by a fenced perimeter and dual gate entrance.

The facility is engineered for complete fault tolerance, offering 2N redundancy across all mission critical systems. This ensures that every rack is fed by true A and B power paths, protected by isolated, state of the art UPS systems and backup generators. To mitigate the risk of utility failure, electrical feeds enter the building at multiple geographically diverse locations. This Tier 4 design ensures that even in the event of a component failure, the system continues to operate without interruption.

Designed as a building within a building, Litewire’s architecture is specifically crafted to maintain a controlled internal environment while shielding equipment from external natural forces. The facility, which became operational in 2014, is a retrofitted structure totaling 285,000 square feet. This massive footprint includes expandable whitespace to accommodate various hardware configurations, ensuring that the infrastructure can grow alongside the needs of its clients.

With a leadership team originating from the banking and financial sectors, Litewire prioritizes a compliance is king philosophy. The facility undergoes annual audits by leading independent firms to maintain its SOC2 status, with reports available upon request. Furthermore, Litewire conducts quarterly physical and network penetration tests to proactively identify and resolve potential vulnerabilities, ensuring the highest level of integrity for the perimeter.

The Litewire network is fully modular, carrier agnostic, and dual fed to provide maximum uptime. Fiber entrances are located in multiple areas throughout the facility on two private, isolated carrier rings. This infrastructure allows Litewire to support high performance demands with internet connectivity speeds of up to 10Gb per second. This redundant network architecture ensures that clients remain connected regardless of external carrier issues.

To meet diverse hardware requirements, Litewire offers a wide range of space configurations, including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and custom suites. Clients also have access to Remote Hands services for technical assistance. Access to secure areas is highly regulated. No client is granted entry without an authorized staff escort, and movement is strictly limited to the client’s designated pod space to maintain the privacy of other tenants.

Beyond the server room, Litewire provides a premium environment for visiting personnel and onsite teams. The facility features private customer office spaces, a comfortable lounge area equipped with flat screen TVs and a game room, and a fully stocked refreshment center. For those working long hours, there is also a fitness center with showers and a breakroom, maintaining a Power Usage Effectiveness of 1.5 while ensuring a comfortable and productive experience for all clients.
