The Slidell EdgeConneX Edge Data Center EDC is a purpose built facility strategically positioned to serve local market consumers with high performance digital needs. By partnering with network and cable operators at the local level this carrier neutral facility ensures the shortest and fastest routes for content delivery. This proximity is specifically designed to provide the lowest possible latency for customers looking to distribute high bandwidth applications and content to both enterprise and consumer subscribers in the immediate region.

The facility spans a total building size of 26950 square feet with 4610 square feet dedicated to fully built out whitespace. It is engineered to support a total power capacity of 0.5 MW. The interior is designed with a professional raised floor system and includes dedicated office space and WiFi for technicians and clients. To accommodate various business scales the center offers flexible housing options including full cabinets partial cabinets shared rackspace and custom build to suit cages.

EdgeConneX provides high density power configurations supporting a maximum power density of 20 kW per rack and an average of 0.6 kW per square foot across the floor. To ensure constant uptime and reliability the power architecture is built with N plus 1 redundancy across all critical systems including the Uninterruptible Power Supply and standby power generators. This ensures that even in the event of a component failure the data center remains fully operational.

To maintain the sensitive hardware within the facility the Slidell EDC utilizes a robust climate control system. Like the power systems the cooling infrastructure is designed with N plus 1 redundancy ensuring a stable thermal environment even during maintenance or equipment issues. For fire protection the facility employs an advanced pre action zoned dry pipe sprinkler system. This system is meticulously designed with zoned maintenance aisles and separate suites to prevent accidental water damage to non affected areas.

Security is a core pillar of the Slidell facility featuring a multi layered defense strategy. The site is monitored 24 by 7 by onsite security staff and comprehensive CCTV surveillance. Physical access is strictly regulated through a series of checkpoints including a mantrap entry biometric access controls and card access systems. These measures ensure that only authorized personnel can enter the whitespace providing a highly secure environment for sensitive mission critical data.

The Slidell EDC meets rigorous industry standards for data handling and operational excellence. It is SOC 2 Type II certified and compliant with both HIPAA and DSS PCI regulations making it an ideal location for healthcare and financial services data. Additionally the facility offers Remote Hands services allowing customers to have onsite technicians perform physical tasks on their equipment without needing to travel to the site personally.
