Power and Capacity Specifications
The data center boasts robust power capabilities with a Fully Built-Out Power capacity of 40 MW. The critical IT space, or Fully Built Out Whitespace, measures 185,000 sq. ft. The maximum power density is 0.2 kW/sq. ft., suitable for a range of IT loads.
Redundancy and Critical Infrastructure
NYM1 ensures exceptional uptime through high level redundancy across its power and cooling systems. The UPS Redundancy is N+2, utilizing 1000 kW UPS modules (Powerware 9395). Similarly, Standby Power Redundancy is N+2, provided by Six (6) 2800 kW prime rated (3000 kW standby rated) Caterpillar C-175 generators. Cooling is managed via a 42-inch raised white floor design.
Connectivity and Interconnection
For robust networking, the facility features a Meet Me Room (MMR) and offers Office Space for customer operations. It provides access to 1 Internet Exchange Point and connects to 2 Peering networks, facilitating diverse and low-latency connectivity options for tenants.
Security and Access Control
Security is paramount at NYM1, featuring multiple layers of physical and technical safeguards. The perimeter is secured by a Fenced Perimeter, and access is controlled via a Mantrap Entry, Biometric Access Control, and Card Access Control. Comprehensive surveillance is maintained through CCTV surveillance, and Onsite Security Staff are present 24/7.
Fire Suppression and Staffing
The facility employs advanced fire safety systems. The Firesupression System uses Double interlocking pre-action sprinkler in computer rooms and electrical rooms, with wet pipe systems in office and storage areas. This system is supported by Automatic Firesupression. In addition to security, Onsite Technical Staff are available 24/7 to support operations. The data center utilizes a Raised Floor type.
