The EdgeX facility is a purpose-built Tier III+ data center situated on four acres of land, totaling 64,942 square feet. Constructed in 2010 with a LEED Silver certification, the building was engineered for extreme durability, specifically designed to withstand F5 tornadoes. The architectural layout includes 42,000 square feet dedicated to MEP equipment, loading, and storage, alongside 2,900 square feet of office space, ensuring a robust environment for both hardware and personnel.

The site is powered by dual 10,000kVA utility feeds, providing a total of 20,000kVA and an 8 MW gross utility load. The power infrastructure is divided into two primary 10,000-square-foot data halls. Data Hall A is currently fully built-out with 1.5 MW of UPS capacity (1.25 MW fully built-out power), while Data Hall B remains a power-shell-ready space capable of supporting high-density configurations. This redundant setup ensures that power delivery remains uninterrupted for all scalable compute and storage needs.

EdgeX offers a wide array of whitespace solutions to accommodate different business scales, ranging from shared rackspace and partial cabinets to full cabinets, secure cages, and custom suite footprints. The facility features 10,000 square feet of fully built-out whitespace that is designed to be expandable. To support seamless connectivity, the center includes a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR), allowing clients to scale their network and content distribution capabilities efficiently.

Security at the facility is managed through a multi-layered approach that includes 24/7 onsite security staff, CCTV surveillance, and biometric access controls. To protect critical infrastructure from environmental hazards, the data center utilizes an automatic fire suppression system. Specifically, it employs a Dual Inter Lock pre-action dry pipe system, which minimizes the risk of accidental water damage while providing comprehensive protection against fire.

Beyond its technical specifications, EdgeX provides a "Remote Hands" service to assist clients with onsite technical tasks. The facility is equipped with various amenities to support visiting engineers and staff, including a loading bay for equipment delivery, a breakroom, a conference room, and dedicated office space. These features combine to create a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the daily operations of enterprises requiring high-performance edge computing.
